There is no other day quite like it. The paperwork is done. The waiting is over. A judge signs their name and the word “family” changes — officially, permanently, forever. You’ve been calling each other that for a while already. Today the rest of the world catches up.
I have had the privilege of standing in a courtroom and watching this happen. I know what it looks like when a child realizes this is real. I know what it looks like when a parent tries to hold it together for the photo and completely fails, in the best possible way. These are among the most important images I have ever made — and I don’t say that lightly after 16 years behind a camera.

What Forever Day coverage looks like
Adoption ceremonies move quickly and courthouse schedules don’t wait. I come prepared, move quietly, and photograph everything — the signing, the handshakes with the judge, the moment outside the courtroom when it finally sinks in, the celebration that follows. I won’t disrupt the proceeding and I won’t miss the moment.
Coverage typically includes the ceremony itself, portraits with your family and the judge if permitted, and celebrations immediately following — whether that’s lunch at a favorite restaurant, a trip to a special location, or the first quiet moments home as a forever family.
Your gallery will be delivered within two to three weeks. All final images are included via digital download. Prints, albums, and wall art are available from the à la carte menu whenever you’re ready.

I am familiar with both locations, their lighting, and their flow. If your hearing is at either courthouse, you are in good hands.
Available to travel throughout Florida and beyond for adoption ceremonies. Distance is not a reason to go without photographs of this day.
National Adoption Day
Every November, Volusia and Flagler counties celebrate National Adoption Day — a coordinated event where multiple families finalize adoptions together in a celebration hosted in partnership with Community Partnership for Children. If your Forever Day falls on or near National Adoption Day, reach out early. Spots for this event fill quickly and I want to be there for as many families as possible.
Pricing
Adoption ceremony coverage begins at $500 for the first hour — which typically covers the signing, your time with the judge, and portraits immediately following. Most families find one hour is exactly right. For those who want extended time for family portraits, a celebration lunch, or a meaningful location afterward, additional hours are available at $300 per hour.
All final images are included via digital download with reproduction rights up to 11×14 inches. Prints, albums, and wall art are available from the à la carte menu whenever you’re ready.
